Peter Szabo is Vice President at the EQ Group, a leading European hotel investor and private equity operating partner. He has over a decade of experience in hotel real estate and asset management across Europe, with a strong track record in large, complex portfolio transactions, structured acquisitions, and value-add opportunities. His expertise spans all hotel segments, from budget to luxury, with a particular focus on operational assets, joint ventures, brand negotiations, and capital structuring. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at EHL Hospitality Business School, formerly known as École hôtelière de Lausanne.

He previously held key roles at leading platforms, including The July, an aparthotel investment platform backed by APG and Aware Super, and HVS Hodges Ward Elliott, a pan-European hotel brokerage specialist, where he regularly advised private equity firms, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals on complex hospitality transactions, operator selections and valuations. Peter holds a Master in Finance from London Business School and a BSc from EHL; he regularly lectures on hotel investment and development, and co-authored multiple HVS European Hotel Transactions Reports.
