Leire Leoz
Leire joined Marriott International in 2017 as Senior Director Franchise Owner Support, following the integration with Starwood, where she held the position of Director, Franchise Services, EAME. She was instrumental in setting up and developing the Starwood Franchise Services structure and putting the resources and tools in place. Leire had joined Starwood in 2011 following three years at IHG working in feasibility and development marketing. She has become expert and passionate about franchise and is committed to continue expanding a profitable franchise portfolio.
In her current role as Vice-President Franchise Owner Support EMEA, Leire is responsible for the relationships with Marriott’s franchisees across the EMEA division. Together with her team they act as the long-term partner and guide for each individual franchisee throughout the length of the franchise agreement. The aim being to develop long-term mutually beneficial partnerships based on trust and dialogue.
Before starting her career in hospitality Leire worked in the European Commission as an Economist in the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Quantitative Methods and a Masters in Finance from the University of Bristol.
Leire comes from the North of Spain but lives in Brussels with her three children Tomas, Maia & Olivia and her husband Nicolas. She loves music and enjoys singing, playing the guitar or the piano and dancing whenever possible.
